GHEAD works to prevent substance abuse and addiction in immigrant communities and to connect those affected with appropriate treatment and support, through educational outreach and provider training.
GHEAD's Substance Abuse & Addiction Prevention program focuses on preventing substance abuse and addiction in immigrant communities and ensuring those affected can access appropriate treatment and support. The program provides educational outreach directly to immigrant communities and cultural competence training for service providers, then connects individuals and families to treatment and recovery services when they need them.
