Our Programs

GHEAD promotes healthier communities through culturally responsive health education, prevention, and connections to care. Our programs address behavioral health, substance use and addiction prevention, mental health stigma, nutrition and healthy lifestyles, and other emerging community health needs. We work with community members, healthcare providers, and partner organizations to improve health knowledge, reduce barriers to care, and connect individuals and families with appropriate services and resources.

GHEAD helps children and youth build the academic, social, and leadership skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. Through after-school and summer learning, tutoring, enrichment, leadership development, sports, and other youth-centered activities, we provide supportive opportunities that strengthen academic achievement, confidence, healthy development, and future readiness.

GHEAD connects adults and young people with education, training, and career pathways that strengthen economic opportunity and self-sufficiency. Programs provide access to professional certifications, digital and job-readiness skills, career exploration, and connections to employment and continuing education opportunities.

GHEAD works alongside immigrant, refugee, and underserved communities to identify needs, strengthen community capacity, and connect families with information, resources, and opportunities. Through culturally and linguistically responsive outreach, workshops, community events, parent engagement, and partnerships, we help communities participate more fully in the systems and decisions that affect their health and well-being.
